About Mrs. Cheyenne

Hello Friends! My name is Mrs. Cheyenne and I am so excited to be your teacher!
I am looking forward to a year of learning, growing and creating together, all while having lots of FUN!
I grew up in Wood River, Nebraska. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Kearney in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Since 2018 I have been a substitute para and teacher in the preschool and toddler classrooms, this fall will be my first year teaching full time in the toddler classroom at Bright Futures.
I love teaching toddlers because there are so many milestones, and learning experiences we get to help students experience. I am so excited to get this year started and learn more about you!
In my free time you will find me teaching youth dance, or spending time with my husband, newborn, and pets!
My Favorites:
Color: Yellow
Drink: Vanilla Pepsi
Candy: M&M's

Hello, my name is Perry Hanson. I am a native Kansan, a graduate of the University of Kansas, and have lived and worked in Kearney, NE for 21 years.

The 2020-21 School year will be my fifth working for Kearney Public Schools, and my fourth working in the Sixpence Toddler Program.

I have 30 years experience working with and mentoring youth of all ages, and have very much enjoyed my time in the toddler rooms. The daily challenge of working with children ages 2 and 3 is something that has proven to be a joy for me. It is rewarding to see the development of the children in our classroom from the first time they enter our doors, until they move on to the preschool. It is an age where education is SO important, building the groundwork for a successful journey through their school years.

I am happy to be part of such an excellent, and award-winning program, working with staff which has such a love and compassion for children of this age.

Hello! My name is Sarah Meyer! My dream is to become a Kindergarten teacher! But, in the mean time, I am getting married in March and working towards my degree in elementary education at UNK. Teaching has always been my passion and it's a great way to reach the hearts of children. I am super excited for this school year and can't wait to meet our students!
