WELCOME Early Childhood Families!

Hi, my name is Carol Kenton.  I have been with Kearney Public Schools since 2016 as an Early Childhood Special Education educator for students Birth to Age 5.  I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and K-6 Mild/Moderate Special Education.  I also hold my Master’s Degree in Special Education with an endorsement in Deaf Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Prior to working for Kearney Public Schools, I worked with ESU #9 for 15 years as an Early Childhood Special Education Specialist as well as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Educator.

I love working with the youngest of children and watching their natural curiosity about the world around them!  Along with their caregivers, educators are able to further foster their development through this curiosity and encourage their exploration and discovery in order to learn.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys, reading, baking, crafting, watching sporting events and traveling.
