Get to know your teacher, Lindsie Thiems-

I have been with Kearney Public Schools since 2014. Previously, I worked at Head Start for 11 years with children & families in my different roles including classroom teacher & home educator. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Inclusive in August of 2014. I went on to obtain my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction in December of 2018. I am currently working on obtaining my Master's degree in Special Education Certification and Advanced Practitioner in Behavioral Intervention. 

I am passionate about teaching children in their early childhood years. The amount of growth & development that occurs during this time period is phenomenal. I also love to collaborate & work closely with families & other staff to best support each child's individual learning. 

Outside of the classroom I love making memories & having adventures with my husband, 4 children, & 2 dogs. Some of the things I enjoy doing are running, going to to the lake & swimming, visiting family, reading, hiking in Colorado, traveling, fishing, & spending time with friends.
