Preschool 3 & 4

Give your child a smart start at Bright Futures Preschool! We have an exciting, educational program for 3-year-old and 4-year-old children. Bright Futures has an energetic preschool environment to engage students in learning and encourage creativity.

Our highly-qualified, certified teachers address each child's unique personality (physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language) through meaningful, hands-on interaction.

Bright Futures is a family-oriented preschool with resources to serve the entire family. We believe everyone deserves a bright future!

Eligibility

Kearney Public Schools invites students from eligible families to apply for a grant-supported preschool program. The program runs from August to May. Eligibility considerations:

• Low-income status
• Students who are English Language Learners
• Students of Premature birth or low birth weight
• Students of Teen Parents
• Other risk factors
• Appropriate Age:  child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before July 31.

*Applicants must provide family income information and a copy of the certified birth certificate. Children must be up-to-date on immunizations.

Program Information

• The program runs five days a week (Monday-Friday).
• Classes are from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm.
• The program serves primarily 4-year-olds and will accept some 3-year-olds
• Transportation is the responsibility of the parents.
• Applicants must either provide family income information or qualify for free/reduced meals.
• Tuition is based on a sliding scale calculated from income if the student does not qualify for free/reduced meals.
• Tuition payments are due to Kearney Public Schools by the 5th of every month.
• Tuition checks for Bright Futures should be made payable to Kearney Public Schools.
