Our Bright Futures Preschool Program effectively meets the needs of our students and their families in a comprehensive manner.  Bright Futures has a high quality preschool environment, energetic and qualified teachers, and uses developmentally appropriate teaching and assessment practices.

Our school addresses each child's unique physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language skills through meaningful daily experiences.  Addtionally, comprehensive programs include resources to serve the diverse needs of our families.

Kearney Public Schools invites students from eligible families to apply for a grant supported preschool program.  The program runs from August to May. 
Eligibility Considerations

• Low income status
• Students who are English Language Learners
• Students of Premature birth or Low birth weight
• Students of Teen Parents
• Other risk factors
• Appropriate Age (must be 3 OR 4 years old on or before October 15th)

Applicants must provide family income information.  Children must be up-to-date on immunizations. The program runs 4 days a week.  The program serves 3 and 4 year olds.  Tuition is based on income, plus the cost of meals.  Transportation is the responsibility of the parents.

Applications for the 2010-2011 year will be reviewed in early May and then again in July.
